Course Overview

Deliver Effective Information, Advice and Guidance

Develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide effective information, advice and guidance (IAG) in the workplace. This course is suitable for people working in roles where supporting clients, learners or colleagues with information and guidance is an important part of their responsibilities.

What you’ll learn

  • How to communicate effectively and build positive interactions with clients
  • The importance of professional boundaries and accurate record keeping
  • Key legislation and regulations that affect information, advice and guidance services
  • Practical ways to identify and overcome barriers that may prevent individuals from accessing support

On successful completion, you will achieve the Information, Advice or Guidance Level 2 Certificate.

There will be an introductory session on the 1st of September, 09.30-10.30, which will give an overview of the accredited course to help you decide if it is right for you. This is a mandatory requirement for joining the accredited course.
