Why Michelle Chose These Courses?
Michelle has always been interested in health and nutrition and how the food we eat impacts our bodies and overall well-being, so when a work colleague recommended Wandsworth Lifelong Learning’s Understanding Nutrition and Health Level 2 course, she decided to take the opportunity to enrol.
What She Gained from the Experience
She said, “I’m so pleased that I did as the course gave me a better understanding on how nutrition contributes to one to stay healthy and well.” She added “On the flip side, I also came to understand how poor nutrition can lead to a variety of health problems, some of which can contribute to long-term conditions and even social isolation.”
The course gave her an appreciation of how nutrition plays a crucial role in maintaining health and wellness which motivated her to make more informed choices and to consider the implications of what we eat.
One of her key takeaways was becoming more aware of food labelling. “I now pay close attention to ingredients, particularly additives, sugar, salt, and fats, and I’ve learned how to measure their intake per 100 grams. This skill has made me far more conscious of what I’m consuming and has encouraged me to make healthier choices.”
Following her course, and to continue building on the foundation she gained, Michelle is keen to explore the subject at the next level.
Her Advice for Future Learners
Michelle has advice for anyone considering enrolling for Understanding Nutrition and Health: “It’s an interesting course and gives one an insight on how important it is to stay fit and healthy. Yes, I would definitely recommend”.
