Work Experience
Gaining work experience is one of the best ways to build confidence, develop workplace skills and explore different career paths.
Through our Business and Education Succeeding Together (BEST) programme, we support young people to access valuable work experience opportunities that can help them take their next step towards employment, an apprenticeship or further study.
Our team works with local employers and organisations to help young people gain practical experience in a real working environment. Whether you’re looking for your first placement or need support identifying suitable opportunities, BEST can provide guidance and advice throughout the process.
The programme can help you:
- Explore different industries and career options
- Develop workplace skills and confidence
- Build your CV with practical experience
- Improve your understanding of employer expectations
Subject to funding, the BEST team may be able to help you find a work experience placement or support you in securing one independently.
