Build Confidence in Practical Maths for Work and Life

If you want improve your maths skills, our functional skills maths courses are a great way to build confidence and develop your practical numeracy. We offer a range of levels, from Entry Level 3 to Level 1 and Level 2, so you can start at the point that’s right for you.

If you’re considering a full Functional Skills Maths qualification, you can start with an introductory course that will give you an overview of the accredited programme, including the topics you’ll study, how the course is delivered, and the learning and commitment involved. It’s an ideal way to find out what a full qualification course is like before deciding to enrol.

These courses are designed for anyone who wants to improve their maths for everyday life, work, or further study. You’ll develop practical mathematical skills to apply in everyday life while working towards an accredited qualification. We’ll assess your level before you start to ensure the course is right for you, and provide support throughout your learning journey.

Will I have to pay for courses?
The majority of our courses are free, subject to the criteria listed. For advanced level accredited courses, there is a fee-paying option available if a learner does not meet the criteria for a free course.
