Why Abdul Chose This Course
Encouraged by his line manager, Abdul enrolled on the ILM Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management. He was looking for practical ways to improve how he worked with colleagues and supported his team.
“I wanted to improve how I lead and support colleagues, communicate effectively, and drive a strong culture of compliance across the business,” he explains. The course also offered the chance to learn new techniques that could be used straight away in his day-to-day role.
What He Gained from the Experience
The course has helped Abdul both professionally and personally.
One of the biggest benefits was learning about different leadership styles and when to use them. He says it made him “more aware of different leadership styles and how to adapt my approach when working with colleagues across the organisation.”
As a result, Abdul feels he has strengthened his communication, delegation and coaching skills. He believes this has helped him build stronger relationships with colleagues and encourage greater accountability within his team.
The course also gave him more confidence in his role. Reflecting on his experience, Abdul says it “increased my confidence as a leader” and encouraged him to think about how he can continue improving and supporting both people and business goals.
