This Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship programme is designed to unlock your management potential, and help you develop into an effective team leader or supervisor.
Whether you are working in the public, private, or third sector, this apprenticeship equips candidates to manage teams, projects, and operational plans , ensuring they are well-prepared to tackle challenges and seize opportunities in any organizational setting.
Responsibilities for potential candidates are likely to include: supporting, managing, and developing team members; managing projects; planning and monitoring workloads and resources; delivering operational plans; resolving problems and building relationships internally and externally.
Potential future roles for the candidate may include supervisor, team leader, project officer, shift supervisor, foreperson and shift manager.
About You
For this apprenticeship you will need to be in a supervisory role. You don’t necessarily need to have direct line manager responsibility, but you do need to be in a post where you are able to set tasks for other colleagues (at least 2), monitor performance and provide support and guidance.
You are committed to your professional development and are ready to take the next step in your career.

What You Need to Know
There will be two online briefing sessions, in July and September, which will provide an overview of what to expect from the course and offer a a chance to meet the tutor (see below to register for a briefing). You need only attend one briefing and this is not mandatory to join the apprenticeship programme but it is recommended that you do so.
The programme will be delivered through a combination of group workshops and individual support. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other candidates through group workshops and will also receive support through 1-1 meetings with their skills coach.
At the end of the programme, you will be assessed by an independent organisation. This is known as End Point Assessment.

Time Commitment
The programme starts on the 22nd of October 2024 and runs over a period of 14 months. During this time, you will be expected to attend nine days for group sessions, and complete weekly online learning as well as meetings with your tutor. In summary:
- All group workshops will be in person, 10am-4pm (dates to be confirmed)
- Between workshops you will also have an online assessment meeting with your skills coach.
- There will be reviews conducted with you and your line manager every 8 weeks.
- You will be set monthly coursework to complete.
Eligibility Requirements
To enrol for this programme, you must:
- Be aged 16+
- Be employed in a suitable role for the apprenticeship.
- Not be enrolled in any other funded programme.
- Have an employment duration in place for the length of the apprenticeship.
Funding is available via the apprenticeship levy.
