This course will help individuals to gain confidence, skills and knowledge in how to deliver appropriate and effective information and advice.

Course Content Includes:
The programme will cover a wide range of units, such as:
- How to establish communication with clients for advice and guidance
- How to assist advice and guidance clients to decide on a course of action
- How to manage a personal case load
Course Duration: This course will take approximately 7 months to complete, with the flexibility of self-managed study.
How: There will be monthly workshops and two one-to-one visits during the course to complete observations .

What You Need to Know
You must attend the introductory course before you can join the full programme, you MUST also be in suitable work role/employment.
Prior to enrolment you will need to undertake an initial assessment in English and achieve a minimum Level 1 result.
To complete this course successfully and achieve the qualification, you are required to complete weekly self-study exercises or assignments between lessons.
To attend this course and complete the coursework, you need access to a good internet connection and a laptop, computer or tablet device. If you do not have a suitable device, please speak to an IAG advisor or your tutor about the Laptop Loan Scheme.
Once registered we will contact you to check your eligibility before starting the enrolment process. To be eligible for funding for this course, learners must:
- Be aged 19+
- Live in London
- Have not already achieved a L3 or above qualification. Please note if you earn under £27,007.50 you are eligible for funding even if you already have a L3 or above qualification
- Work within a suitable role

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements :
– you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
– you are not in full time education
– you have not achieved this qualification before
– you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2023
-Have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning
If you don’t have permission to live in the UK for 12 months from the first day of learning there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor that will contact you.
